Aha, thanks for pointing that out! Didn't get the welcome message when I first joined so hadn't read it properly =) As for the message on WoWWiki, yes rollback rights would be very helpful! I see there's a bit of vandalism and things still to clean up so that would be great!

WoWWiki templates conversion to WoWPedia... Edit

Just looked at the examples on the template page. It's putting a '+' in spaces rather than underscore. Other than that it seems to work fine. --Grynd (talk) 00:48, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

Popular Answered questions Edit

I added this list on the main page. To make answers show up in this list, just add them to the Popular answered questions category or tag ([[Category:Popular answered questions]]). The current flaw in this method is that if a question is wiped out (setting it back to an unanswered question), it will not remove itself from the Popular answered questions category.

Template reversions to WoWWiki ones Edit

WoWWiki should be more on par with Wowpedia now. If you find that you're running into alot of things that are an issue, I can point them back to Wowpedia. You can also just go to WoWWiki general forum and start a post with missing things and I'll make sure they get filled in.

Wikia is generally unhappy with WoW answers pointing to Wowpedia, but I re-pointed the templates before because I thought Wowpedia would be far and away better updated. I've been doing some spot checks over the last few months and the two sites just have different areas of strength and weakness. Supporting both WoWWiki and Wowpedia links Edit

There are now WoWWiki and Wowpedia link templates for every type. I also updated World of Warcraft Answers:Style Guide and World of Warcraft Answers:Templates.

For WoWWiki: {{ww}}, {{wwpage}}, {{wwitem}}, {{wwnpc}}, or {{wwquest}}.

For Wowpedia: {{wwp}}, {{wwppage}}, {{wwpitem}}, {{wwpnpc}}, or {{wwpquest}}.

So you can use either or just Wowpedia ones, if that's what you prefer. I was going to use wp for Wowpedia, but that is sometimes used for Wikipedia, so I used wwp as the standard prefix. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 26 Mar 2011 8:21 AM Pacific

Networking training spam Edit

I talked to one of the VSTF guys about this spam and they said they'd look into it, but I guess they either didn't do anything or couldn't find a way to successfully block it. Alright, thanks :) I vaguely remember that on the main answers wiki certain xxx words are blocked from question creations to prevent spam, so I'm sure it's possible but I don't know how it's done. Could you also ask them to run a bot to delete all the spam questions that are on here (and possibly protect the pages afterwards)? I've deleted plenty but they seem to be endless so I'm losing the will to live :P --Grynd (talk) 14:40, May 1, 2012 (UTC)

I found the blacklist I think: MediaWiki:TitleBlacklist. You have to be really careful with words you pick, but take a look. You can try to test questions with those words in them also. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 1 May 2012 8:32 AM Pacific
